On 11/20/11, the victim and her family, including her husband and three year old child, were eating in the food court at Fashion Square Mall. While seated at a table, the victim gave her smart phone to the child for entertainment as they ate. As they were seated, the suspect grabbed the phone which was sitting in front of the child, then ran from the area. Surveillance photos captured images of the suspect at different times while he was at the mall. In the photos he appears to be an averaged sized Hispanic or Black male, wearing a Chicago Bulls cap and a black shirt with the words NEW CRACK CITY on the front. The other two individuals in the group photo are believed to have been with the suspect that day in the mall.
Detectives have exhausted all leads in this case and are hoping that the individual(s) in the photos can be identified. Anyone with information on the identities of those involved are asked to call SPD at 480-312-5000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. |
