On 07-01-11, a male and female entered the Antique Center located at 2012 N. Scottsdale Road.
The female appeared to be elderly, with white colored hair. The male subject was Caucasian, and appeared to be approximately 30-40 years of age.
During the time they were inside the Antique Trove, the male subject removed an antique picture from the wall, and ran out of the store with it. He then came back inside the store, without the picture, a short time later. He joined up with the elderly female and they left the store a short time later.
The painting that the male subject stole was an Amelia Earhart photograph framed, with an authentic signature from Amelia. It was in an 11 X 14” dark brown colored frame, with a photograph of Amelia placed on the left side. There was an autograph on the upper right portion of the frame. There was a newspaper article about Amelia under the autograph. The value of the entire framed picture was $4,900.00.
