On Wednesday just after 3:00 pm, SPD was dispatched to the Extended Stay Deluxe at 10660 N. 69th Street reference a stabbing. Upon our arrival the suspects had fled in an unknown direction.
The witness stated that the suspects (known to the victim) came to the victims room at the motel and as suspect Duran was engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim, suspect Mora entered the room and stabbed the victim in the upper body. The suspects took heroin and money from the victims room and fled.
The victim was transported to SHC Osborn with life-threatening injuries and is in serious condition at this time.
On Thursday morning just before 1:00 am, suspects Duran and Dierx (it was later learned that Dierx was also involved in the crime) were taken into custody at their apartment in Phoenix. On Friday at about 11:20 pm, suspect Mora was taken into custody in the area of 44th Street and Indian School Road.
All suspects were booked on Attempt 1st degree Murder, Armed Robbery, Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Conspiracy and Use of Wire during drug transaction. |
