On April 15th just after 3:00 pm Walmart security at 15355 N. Northsight Blvd contacted SPD as they recognized two shoplifters who had returned to the store. Suspect Hughes had shoplifted an electric razor while suspect Wilenchik had shoplifted a baseball hat on a prior occasion. Officers arrived as the suspects were attempting to leave the parking lot. Officers conducted a traffic stop and the vehicle's occupants were identified by loss prevention as the suspects in question. A third suspect who is associated with the others was found nearby walking in the area.
All three were arrested on Shoplifting charges while Hughes was also charged with an Organized Retail Theft count.
