On Sunday at 10:00 PM SPD responded to the intersection of Hayden and Indian Bend Roads for a car/pedestrian collision. The vehicle, a beige Cadillac, was turning northbound on Hayden Road from eastbound Indian Bend Road when it struck a 60 year old female walking in the crosswalk. The female victim was transported to SHC with possible life threatening injuries. At this time the victim is still in critical condition. The intersection was closed for 4.5 hours.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor at the scene but the investigation is still ongoing. No citations have been issued at this time.
