On 3/20/12 at 7:45a.m. SPD was called to the Circle K located at 8001 E. Thomas Road due to an attempted robbery.

The suspect, described as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, tried to take money from the register. When the clerk noticed the suspect reaching near the cash drawer she closed it quickly. The suspect threw his soda on the clerk and ran from the store southbound. During this activity the suspect left $9 and some change of his own money behind. No one was injured. No surveillance footage available.
