At 5:00 pm, Scottsdale Police received a call from a male subject that said there had just been a murder. The caller turned out to be a roomate of the victim and suspect, but not apparrently involved in the incident. Officers arrivad and took the suspect into custody without incident. He made voluntary admissions to officers at the time of his arrest. The victim was found inside the apartment with fatal wounds from a shotgun.
The invistigation to date has revealed that the victim and suspect had a domestic relationship and were roomates. There are 2 other male roomates that were home at the time of the shooting, but there is no evidence that they were involved in the incident. They reported that they heard the suspect yelling at the victim in a bedroom. Shortly after that, they reported hearing gun shots and called the police immediately.
The suspect is being held in custody on one count 1st degree murder.
