On 07/08/11 at 9:30 PM SPD was called to Pima Road just north of McDowell for a fatal collision. The collision involved a Ford pickup being driven southbound on Pima and a Ford Expedition being driven northbound on Pima. The pickup swerved into oncoming traffic and struck the Expedition head-on.
The adult male driver of the pickup was transported to SHC-Osborn with serious injuries. His adult male passenger was also transported to SHC-Osborn as a precaution with minor injuries. The adult male driver of the Expedition was pronounced at the scene.
The roadway was closed for 6 hours during the investigation. |
