On Sunday at 2:00 pm SPD was called to the La Quinta Inn at 8888 E. Shea in reference to two adults using drugs in their room while they had a baby present. Officers arrived and were told that cleaning people had walked by the suspects’ room and could see through the open front door that there was a male and female smoking a drug with a strange odor. They could see a small child in a play pen nearby. Officers arrived and entered the room where they found an 11 month old child. They also found the parents appearing to be intoxicated. Various drugs including heroin were found in the room with the individuals. The adults were taken into custody on various drug charges and for a count of Endangerment. The child was turned over to CPS.
