On September 19, 2013 a Scottsdale Police School Resource officer became aware that a 14-year old female student was using social media to try and sell capsules of a dangerous drug known as “molly” 3,4-methylendioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), dangerous drug. Upon interviewing the child, the officer learned that the child was directed by an adult male to help him package and distribute the powdered drug known as “molly”. The officer’s information was forwarded to SPD narcotics detectives, which helped identify a potential offender. Detectives conducted surveillance at 7431 E Cortez, Scottsdale, and positively identified the offender, Michael DAVIS, as a resident of the home. A search warrant was drafted and executed on the same day at 7431 E Cortez. DAVIS was arrested after he was contacted walking to the house by detectives and was found to have over 50 Molly pills in his pocket. Additional dangerous drugs (Molly pills), paraphernalia and packaging materials were also located inside the residence. DAVIS is being charged with several drug related crimes which include, but are not limited to: Possession for Sale of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Use of a Minor in a Drug offense. Detectives requested he be held in custody for the charges.
