Details:

On Sunday morning at 2:00 AM Ranger was exiting his parked vehicle near the Upper Deck Bar and Grill (4224 N. Craftsman Court). He was removing a rifle from the back seat when he inadvertently discharged the firearm, striking the lower portion of his right leg.

Ranger was transported to County Hospital and will face a Weapons Misconduct charge pending his release from the hospital.

At this time there is no indication as to why he was handling the firearm at the time.
