Details:

On 12/17/12 at 2:00 am SPD was called to the Lodge Bar at 4422 N. 75th Street due to an intoxicated subject who was asked to leave after he got into a verbal altercation with the bartender. As he was leaving he damaged property inside the bar. As officers were looking for him they saw an individual in a nearby parking garage that fit the description. The suspect (David Luellen) was attempting to break into a parked vehicle. When commands were given to him he fled on foot. Officers caught him a short time later and took him into custody.

During questioning the suspect admitted that prior to officers arriving he broke into a vehicle that he thought belonged to the bartender he argued with. The vehicle in question also had tires slashed. The suspect was unsure if he had the correct vehicle so he began to slash tires of multiple vehicles in the area. After a thorough search of the area was completed, 21 vehicles were found to have tire(s) slashed. A utility style tool knife was also found in the garage that is believed to have been used in committing the crimes.

Luellen was booked on multiple counts of Theft, Burglary, and Criminal Damage.
