On 11/26/12 at 11:00 pm a passerby heard glass break on the Hilands Cigars store located at 6917 E. Thomas Road. Shortly after he watched as a male subject exited the store with what appeared to be a box in his hands running from the area. PD arrived and searched the immediate area with negative results. It was determined that cash was taken from inside of the store.
Officers contacted Brian Kronquist who lived in a nearby apartment, as Kronquist has had past dealings with officers for similar acts. Evidence on Kronquist linking him to the crime was found on his person. The amount of cash taken from the store was also found inside of his apartment. Kronquist was booked on charges of Burglary and Criminal Damage.
