On 10/19/11 at 11:00 AM SPD was called to a residence in the 3800 block of N. Hayden Road in reference to a burglary that occurred where the homeowner returned home and interrupted the suspect. The suspect left the home carrying a container full of coins and walked northbound out of the residence. Officers arrived in the area and found a subject fitting the description exiting the Bashas’ store on Indian School and Hayden.
After detaining the subject the victim positively identified him as the person who burglarized her residence. Bashas’ was able to confirm that the subject had used a vending machine inside of the store to turn coins into cash. The subject also had jewelry in his possession that the victim was able to positively identify as hers.
The suspect was booked on 1 count of Burglary and 1 count of Trafficking in Stolen Property. |
