On 07/08/11 at 6:20 AM SPD was dispatched to a home in the 6400 Block of E. Calle Rosa due to a break in where the homeowner yelled at the suspect as he began to enter the home through the rear sliding door. The suspect then fled the area on foot.
As officers were searching the area a cab driver told our officers that he picked up a customer from the area and drove him to the Circle K at 44th Street and Indian School Road. The description of the customer matched the description of the suspect so officers went to the location of the Circle K and when the suspect, who was on the payphone, saw the officer he began to run. Officers were able to take the suspect into custody after a short chase.
An item in the suspect’s possession matched an undisclosed piece of property taken from the victim’s vehicle during the crime.
The suspect is facing a count of Burglary and also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Glendale. |
