On July 9, 2009, Scottsdale Police detectives arrested a 26 year old female (Phoenix resident) for the murder of Dale Aaron Webber.

MORGAN LEIGH ADAMS
DOB: 10/15/1982
The investigation into the death of Mr. Webber began on May 14 when a landscaper arrived at Mr. Webber’s home and discovered him deceased in the backyard spa. It was apparent to officers on the scene that Mr. Webber had been deceased for a number of days prior to his discovery. His cause of death was not immediately known due to the condition of the body. SPD detectives and crime scene specialists conducted a thorough crime scene investigation and the victim’s body was taken to the medical examiner to determine cause and manner of death.
The medical examiner’s office later determined that Mr. Webber died from a single gunshot wound he received while in the spa. In the weeks following, our investigation lead us to the victim’s former girlfriend, Morgan Leigh Adams. We were able to develop information that murder was committed during a robbery at the victim’s home and Morgan Adams was present when the robbery and murder occurred.
Morgan Adams was arrested by SPD detectives at 5:50 PM on July 9, near 48th Street and Frye Road in Chandler. She was booked into Scottsdale City Jail on charges of 1st Degree Murder, Conspiracy and Robbery. She was arraigned on July 10 and held in custody on a $1 Million cash bond. She is currently at the 4th Avenue jail.
The investigation into Mr. Webber’s death is ongoing as detectives follow up on more leads. Any further arrests or details regarding this case will be released when we are able to do so.
