The suspects entered the store and approached the cashier. (s) Edwards pointed a semiautomatic pistol at the cashier and demanded money from her. Seeing this from the back room, the manager, called 911 to report the robbery was in progress. The suspects fled from the store with cash prior to police arrival. The manager was able to describe the suspects as well as their get-away vehicle as they fled south onto Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. Neither of the victims were injured.
A few minutes later, a Scottsdale patrol officer located the suspect's vehicle at the Circle K at 100th Street and Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd (13880 N. Frank Lloyd Wright. The two suspects were in the vehicle when police contacted and arrested them. The victims positively identified the suspects and they admitted involvement in the crime. All of the stolen cash and weapon were recovered from the suspects.
They were booked on various felony charges including Armed Robbery, and held in custody. |
