On 07/27/12 the victim posted an electronic device for sale via an internet site. He was contacted by an individual who wanted to meet at the Shell gas station at 10350 N. Scottsdale Road in order to purchase the item. The two met at 6:30 pm where the item was exchanged for a set amount of cash. As the victim handled the cash he noticed that it felt odd and it was not colored correctly. When he confronted the suspect and demanded his item back the suspect began to pull an item out of his pocket that appeared to be similar to a handgun. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
No one was injured and there is no additional information at this time.
