The resident of unit #283 reportedly took her dog for a walk. When she returned she found her condo engulfed in flames.
PD and
FD Units responded to a working Apt fire, first arriving units had a fully involved 2nd floor apt. Call balanced to a first alarm. Units were deployed to the fire apt and surrounding units for fire control and evacuation. BC271 assumed second floor sector and worked with crews on fire control. Quick, aggressive verticle ventalation by L602 contained the fire in the attic to the apt of origin. Scottsdale was assisted by Tempe and Phx crews. CR12 and red cross also responded and helped with 8-10 residents displaced. Scene turned over to fire investigator. No injuries.
Cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious at this point in the investigation. Evidence points to the fire starting in the bedroom.
