Original report:

Today at about 4:00 PM SPD was called to 11333 N. Scottsdale Rd after a subject fell from a second floor to the ground below.

Upon our arrival we were informed that the injured subject arrived for a 2:00 doctor’s appointment at 2:15. When the doctor could not see him the subject waited until 3:45 growing impatient. At that time he barged into the doctor’s office and created a disturbance that others could hear. A physical confrontation did not occur, only verbal. The doctor produced a handgun for his protection but did not utilize it and quickly put it away. The subject left the office and headed out to leave. Prior to leaving on the elevator he turned back one more time, possibly to confront again, but fell over the second floor railing to the interior floor beneath.

The subject received a serious head injury from the fall and was transported to SHC where he is in stable condition at this time.

This call originally came out as a subject with a gun but no gunshots were fired.

The subject will be charged with counts of Disorderly Conduct when he is released from the hospital.

Updated with new information:

After further investigation it was learned that the patient was ordered by the court to appear for evaluation on Wednesday at 2:00 PM and the subject failed to arrive for his appointment. After calling later in the day the doctor rescheduled the appointment for 2:00 on Thursday. The subject did not arrive until 3:30 PM and the doctor agreed to see him when he was done with other appointments at 6:00 PM. The subject became irritated and barged in to the doctor’s office. Originally it was reported that there was not a physical confrontation but it was later learned that the subject did bump the doctor along with the verbal altercation.

The subject may also face Aggravated Assault charges along with Disorderly Conduct charges.
