Background Investigation Section
All applicants and volunteers are required to participate in an extensive background investigation. Honesty and integrity are key factors assessed during this comprehensive process. The background investigator is the applicant's main point of contact throughout the background.
The process includes:
• Completion of a thorough background questionnaire and meeting with an assigned investigator to review information provided by the applicant.
• Review of past employment, criminal history, past and current behaviors, drug and alcohol use and other relevant areas of information.
• Participation in a polygraph test as part of the overall background process. Once the test is complete, the applicant will be contacted by their background investigator for further assessment.
