Web Accessibility Guidelines

Our goal is to provide maximum access for all users of the City's website. We are working to make www.ScottsdaleAZ.gov fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act using standards set forth in Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C).

The city recently implemented a web content management system for the public site. This system produces new content that is W3C compliant.

Tools for Blind & Visually Impaired Users

A high-contrast, text-only version of the site is available by clicking on the "Text Only" text link in the upper right-hand corner of the site header.

Adobe, the makers of Acrobat and Acrobat Reader, have developed tools to assist blind and visually impaired users. Please visit the Adobe Accessibility area for more information. Please note that the tools designed to create simple HTML documents easily read by standard speech-synthesis software will not retain the graphic images or text formatting of an original Adobe PDF.

Site users who encounter difficulty using ScottsdaleAZ.gov are encouraged to contact the City Webmaster describing the nature of the problem and the section where the difficulty was encountered.
