Learn about the inner-workings of law enforcement at an upcoming Citizens Police Academy. Applications are now being accepted for the upcoming session -- 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 4 through Nov. 20 at District II, 9065 E. Via Linda.

October 4, 2008   -  G.A.I.N  NIGHT 2008
G.A.I.N. or Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods is an annual event designed to unite neighbors and communities to help create safer neighborhoods.  Event is scheduled on Saturday, October  4th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

September 20, 2008   -  CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY ALUMNI GOLF OPEN
Tee up!  Be part of the Citizens Police Academy Alumni of Scottsdale's Fifth Annual Golf Open.  This year's event will be at Startfire Golf Club, 11500 N Hayden Road.  Registration begins at 6:00 a.m., with shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.  Entry is $125 per golfer.  Live and silent auctions, prizes & lunch will follow.  Proceeds benefit youth activity programs.  For details, call (480) 628-8200 or (480) 628-4500.
