CFL and Fluorescent Disposal Options
Compact Fluorescent Lights last longer and use less energy than traditional light bulbs. But what do you do with them when they do go bad. As a resident of Scottsdale you have several options for disposing of CFL/Fluorescent light bulbs:
1) You can bring them to one of the City’s Household Hazardous Waste days. Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Locations 2) You can take them to any Home Depot, Ace Hardware or Ikea’s customer service desks. 3) You can place them in a plastic bag and simply bag and tie them and then place them in your regular trash. (Our landfill is lined, sealed and monitored to prevent any impact on the surrounding environment).

City Holidays The next City Holiday is: Additional Containers Residents who require additional Refuse capacity may purchase additional 90 gallon refuse containers, which becomes their property. An additional monthly fee is charged for each additional refuse container. Residents who require additional Recycling capacity may acquire an additional 90 gallon mauve recycling container. For information call (480) 312-5600. Airpark Recycling Program The Program will start out accepting only cardboard, but may add other recyclable materials with program success. The City has placed a roll-off container at 14960 N. 78TH Way (below the airport traffic control tower) where local Airpark businesses can drop-off their cardboard. Let your children know it's okay to watch our trucks when they come by, but please, keep a safe distance! Dead Animal Pick Up...
