The City of Scottsdale offers residential customers two special collection programs designed to help make life just a little easier. If you just moved into a single-family residential home in Scottsdale we'll help you get rid of all those move-in boxes. Or if you have a non-working appliance, we'll come and pick that up for you also. Remember, these services are for Scottsdale residential collection customers ONLY. Please follow the guidelines listed below to take advantage of these special collection services. |
Move-in Box Collection
for New Residents

Our ONE-TIME new resident Move-in Box Collection service is provided each Wednesday. New residents must schedule this service in advance for the Wednesday of their choice. Please remember this is a ONE-TIME courtesy service.

Boxes must be flattened, completely empty and free of packing paper, plastic and trash! Because the boxes are taken to a recycling facility, any boxes that are not completely empty will not be picked up by our crews. Packing paper can be placed in bags and set out for pick up during our monthly scheduled brush and bulk item collection.

Boxes must be placed curbside by 5:00 AM the Wednesday they are scheduled for collection. They will be collected sometime during that Wednesday.

Appliance Collection for
Residential Customers

Our Appliance Collection service is provided on the last Wednesday of each month and must be scheduled in advance.

This service is for MAJOR appliances ONLY, such as washers & dryers, stoves/ovens, water heaters, dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers.

Appliances containing freon, such as refrigerators and freezers, will not be collected unless the compressor has been removed and the freon recovered by a certified technician in accordance with Federal Law.

Appliances must be placed curbside by 5:00 AM the Wednesday they are scheduled for collection. For safety reasons, refrigerators and freezers must have their doors removed before being placed at the curb.
