Scottsdale residents are invited to take part in this year’s Scottsdale Clean & Beautiful Month. During the month of April, the city coordinates weekly projects aimed at assisting residents with beautifying their neighborhoods and encouraging citizens to take positive environmental action to enhance our community environment.

Here is a list of upcoming events:

Rebuilding Together with Christmas in April - April 9

Using corporate sponsorships and volunteer labor, Rebuilding Together with Christmas in April conducts home and safety repairs and rehabilitates homes of low-income, disabled seniors and non-profit facilities.

Neighborhood Improvement/Clean up Weekend - April 16 & 17

Residents are encouraged to organize a clean up project such as alley beautification, yard landscaping, home repair or litter pick-ups. Citizens can register their neighborhood clean up project with the Scottsdale Pride Committee and receive city recognition.

Adopt-a-Road ~ Scottsdale Clean & Scenic - April 23

Residents and businesses that have already adopted a road are encouraged to do their litter pick up this day. Those residents/businesses that are interested in cleaning an “orphaned” road can also do so this day.

EnviroKidsFest ‘05 & Sun Festival Southwest - April 28, April 30 & May 1

Scottsdale fourth graders will participate in the second annual EnviroKidsFest ‘05 on Thursday, April 28 at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
