Flexible Spending Account (FSA) changes
On July 1, the city will remove the 2½ month grace period to use FSA dollars. Instead, employees can carry-over up to $500 each plan year in a health care FSA. This allows employees to budget for health care expenses without the danger of losing money.
There are two steps employees who are enrolled on the City’s medical plan need to take to earn this year’s wellness incentive. Covered spouses may also participate.
- Visit your physician and complete your free annual wellness exam.
- After July 1 and you’ve received the results of your wellness exam, register with www.mycigna.com and complete your health risk assessment.
Complete both steps to earn a one-time incentive of $120 (employee) or $240 (employee + spouse) by Sept. 30, 2014.
