Cheers and giggles resonated through the Ross Aviation hangars at Scottsdale Airport at this year’s Sky Kids event on Nov. 5.
This non-profit organization recruits pilots and businesses to donate their time and aircraft to provide children with disabilities or life threatening illnesses a flight on a private airplane or helicopter and experience the wonders of flight. This year, even a Gulfstream III was on-hand for flights!
Over 136 children and 211 family members were treated to a flight over Scottsdale and Phoenix.
With big smiles on their faces, the youths finished their flights and walked the red carpet to meet their families, as volunteers greeted them with cheers and clapping.
In addition to the pilots, Scottsdale police and firefighters offered their time and vehicles for demonstrations.
