Scottsdale International Film Festival kicks off Oct. 6

The Scottsdale International Film Festivallinks to external site kicks off Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.

The Film Festival will host an opening celebration complete with live music, food and cocktails, followed by the opening night screening of “Denial.” This dramatic story is about a vital battle for historical truth starring Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz. True-life heroine of the film, Deborah E. Lipstadt, will join for a live Skype discussion after the screening.

Following opening night, the festival will return to its longtime home, Harkins Shea 14 Theatres in Scottsdale, which will host all other screenings, Oct. 7–10.
