Scottsdale's Earth Day event for school children, EnviroKidsFest '06, was held at WestWorld of Scottsdale on Thursday, April 20, 2006.

Nearly 1000 Scottsdale fourth grade students and their teachers and chaperones participated in the city’s third annual EnviroKidsFest, an interactive environmental event designed to meet state science curriculum standards. The event provides interactive activities for students that highlight solar and renewable energy, wildlife and preservation, water conservation and recycling.

Mission of Scottsdale's EnviroKidsFest:

Inspiring tomorrow's community leaders toward healthier environmental stewardship through interactive education.

Governor Janet Napolitano has declared EnviroKidsFest '06 an Official Arizona Premier Earth Month Event and encourages all Arizona residents and students alike to learn, understand and utilize the rich blessings of our State's natural resources.
