What does life in Scottsdale look like to you?

That’s the question posed by the Scottsdale Life photo challenge.

We’re looking for your pictures of people enjoying life in Scottsdale – whether it’s hiking in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, biking the Greenbelt, working in the Scottsdale Airpark, shopping Downtown, or relaxing in one of our diverse neighborhoods.

Submit your photographs at www.capturemyarizona.com/challenges  from March 10 through April 20. The challenge is sponsored by Scottsdale’s draft 2014 General Plan, and entries may be used to help illustrate the final document.

“The story of Scottsdale has been written by amazing people,” said Scottsdale Mayor W.J. “Jim” Lane. “I hope photographers will rise to the challenge and show us their images of the people that make Scottsdale such a wonderful community.”

Two winners will be selected from among the photos submitted, and each winning photographer will receive two tickets to a performance at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.

The photo challenge runs during the public comment period for Scottsdale’s draft 2014 General Plan.

A citizen task force of residents, business owners and other stakeholders have been working with the community and staff to update the Scottsdale General Plan since December 2012.

The result of that is the draft 2014 Scottsdale General Plan, which is now available for public review and comment at www.ScottsdaleGP.com.
