According to the latest census reports, Scottsdale has the highest percentage of residents age 65 or older among U.S. cities with a population of more 100,000. That number is expected to double by 2030.

Scottsdale senior centers are hosting the “All Things Senior” Expo & Tradeshow to better educate residents about available senior resources to assist them and their families. The free event, sponsored by McDowell Village Senior Living, is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 E. Second St.

The event will provide a "one-stop-shop" for those looking to connect with valuable local resources for housing, recreation and fitness, transportation, health and wellness, retail deals, travel and much more.

About 120 exhibitors will be on hand to provide information and demonstrations. Scottsdale Healthcare will provide health screenings. The Scottsdale Police Department will accept and properly dispose of expired and/or unwanted over-the-counter and prescription drugs In addition, various entertainment will take place throughout the event.
