The recruitment for Scottsdale city treasurer is down to four finalists. The city council will interview the finalists at a work study session on Sept. 17 and could make a final decision during that same public meeting.

The Scottsdale city treasurer is a charter officer appointed directly by the mayor and city council.

The finalists are:

  • Lee Guillory Currently Scottsdale’s acting city treasurer and finance director; previous experience as a finance manager with Arizona Public Service Company and as a revenue manager with the Arizona Corporation Commission
  • Jeff Nichols Currently chief financial officer/vice president of the Scottsdale Cultural Council; previous experience as accounting director for the city of Scottsdale and deputy director/controller for the Pima County regional wastewater reclamation department
  • Diane Ruscitti Previous experience as deputy assistant director (finance/treasury) for the city of Houston department of aviation, director of fuel hedging for Alaska Airlines and director of structured finance for Bombardier Aerospace

The city treasurer's office includes the finance, accounting, budget, risk management and customer service areas. Scottsdale’s previous city treasurer, David Smith, retired in July.
