On 01/22/13 at 3:30 pm Van Laeke was driving her Land Rover in the parking lot of the Applebee’s at 10460 N. 90th Street and collided with the southwest portion of a brick wall attached to the restaurant. The victim suffered severe trauma and internal injuries and was transported to SHC Osborn with life-threatening injuries. Earlier today, Van Laeke succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the hospital.

Alcohol appears to be a factor in this collision. The victim was not wearing her seatbelt.
