Fine Art and classic cars get Scottsdale’s special events season off to a roaring start this weekend.

The Celebration of Fine Art starts Saturday, Jan. 12, in the big white tents located on the southwest corner of Hayden Road and the Loop 101 Freeway.
 
On Sunday, Jan. 13, the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction begins an eight-day run at WestWorld, Scottsdale’s special events center, at 16601 N. Pima Road.

Information on these and other upcoming Scottsdale special events is highlighted below. There are a number of ways residents and visitors can learn about activities and get traffic information.

Scottsdale’s free trolley service is a great way to travel to events and activities. Several trolley routes work together to connect resort corridors, special event locations and the Downtown shopping and entertainment districts. Celebration of Fine Art starts Saturday

It’s an opportunity to meet 100 working artists, visit their studios, and find out how and why they do what they do. The 23rd Annual Celebration of Fine Art begins Sunday and runs through March 24. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at the southwest corner of Hayden Road and the Loop 101 Freeway. Call 480-443-7695 for more information or visit Celebration.

Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction starts Sunday

Hundreds of the world’s finest collector automobiles and thousands of spectators will assemble for this year’s Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction. The auction runs Sunday through Jan. 20, at WestWorld, 16601 N. Pima Road. Visit Barrett-Jackson or call 480-421-6694 for more information. 


Russo and Steele Automobile Auction starts Wednesday

If you’re into sport, muscle and street rod collector cars, we have just the place for you! The annual Russo and Steele Automobile Auction begins Wednesday and runs through Jan. 20. The auction takes place near the intersection of the Loop 101 Freeway and Scottsdale Road. Cavalia Odysseo runs through Jan. 20
You don’t have to be an expert on horses to enjoy Cavalia Odysseo. The show takes place through Jan. 20 at the White Big Top located at Scottsdale Road and the Loop 101 Freeway, 18777 N. Scottsdale Road. Created by one of the founders of Cirque du Soleil, the theatrical, multimedia performance features equestrian acts, acrobatics and special effects. P. F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and Half Marathon Jan. 20
A cool run in the Valley of the Sun features new courses this year that run through the heart of Scottsdale. Get ready to rock on Sunday, Jan. 20, as the P. F.
