Details: After releasing the surveillance photos to the public, detectives from Scottsdale PD began receiving tips asa to the identity of the female seen in the photos robbing the bank. Numerous tips lead police to identify Charlotte Willenzik. Based on witness identifications and other investigation, probable cause was developed to arrest her for robbery of this bank and another bank in the City of Phoenix, which occurred one day before this incident.

Willeszik was located staying with her grandparents at a home in Cave Creek, Az. At 5:30pm on January 9, Willenzik was arrested for 2 counts of robbery. In a subsequent search of her room, detectives were able to recover most of the cash taken from both robberies. During her interview with detectives, she admitted to both crimes to support a drug habit. She was booked into Scottsdale City Jail and is currently being held in custody at the Maricopa County Jail.


The suspect entered the bank and showed the teller a demand note. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank. She was seen entering a Gold mid-sized sedan, which was occupied by at least one other person. The vehicle was last seen heading toward Scottsdale Road. Suspect not located or identified at this time.
