Original:
On Sunday night at 7:30 SPD was called to the scene of a serious injury collision at Scottsdale and Earll Drive.
A motorcycle with an adult male driver and an adult female passenger were southbound just south of Earll when they struck a car in the rear end, which pulled out of a private drive on the west side of the road. The car was also headed southbound and left the scene after the collision.
Neither motorcycle occupant was wearing a helmet. Both were transported to SHC Osborn with life threatening injuries to the female passenger. Scottsdale Road southbound at Earll was closed for 4 hours during the investigation.
At this point it is believed that alcohol and speed may have been factors in this collision on the part of the motorcyclist.
A witness to the event stated that the car was a grey Chevy Camaro with damage to the rear bumper and a broken rear window. The vehicle has Arizona plate AWS7877 which returns to a ’94 Camaro.
The driver of the Camaro is described as a white male in his 20’s, 6’, 200lbs with brown hair and a beard. He also has tattoos on his hands and wrists. There was a female passenger in the vehicle that is described as white, in her 20’s with short dark hair and blonde hi-lights. Both were dressed in black clothing.
Information related to the collision or to the subjects involved can be given to SPD at 480-312-5000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
