November Green Building Lecture focuses on Energy Audits:
Making Sense of the Results and Taking Action
In Spring 2010, the city of Scottsdale implemented a Home Energy Audit Program for residents. The audit provided comprehensive energy performance ratings for 246 residents in the southern part of the city. The program represents a unique situation where a large concentration of energy ratings was performed in a relatively short time frame with a high internal consistency of testing and energy modeling methodologies.
Hear the findings and what it means to Scottsdale and valley residents at the free Nov. 1 Green Building Lecture. It will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road. Learn about the Energize Phoenix Project and similar efforts to improve energy performance of existing buildings. Discover how to apply the practices of these programs to your home or building project. The presentations will include recommended energy improvements based on housing characteristics in south Scottsdale, central Phoenix and similar neighborhoods throughout the Valley.
Program speakers include:
- Daran Wastchak – D.R. Wastchak, LLC
