Submit ideas for new bond projects through Monday, Oct. 15
Do you have an idea for a project that will improve our community? The 2013 Scottsdale Bond Task Force is seeking ideas for new bond projects. Citizens can submit ideas for new projects through Oct. 15 via the Speak Up Scottsdale website found here.
Scottsdale maintains a database of future bond projects and bond project ideas. A bond project must result in the creation or revitalization of a fixed asset. Examples include the construction, expansion or remodeling of a facility, the purchase or development of land or street construction or renovation.
To be considered for the 2013 bond program, ideas must be submitted by Monday, Oct. 15. All ideas and comments submitted via Speak Up Scottsdale will be presented to the 2013 Bond Task Force at a future meeting.
There are other opportunities to participate in the bond development process. The Bond Task Force is seeking input on a number of topics at Speak Up Scottsdale:
• Review the current list of future bond and capital improvement projects and let us know if you believe any of them should be included in the proposed 2013 Bond Package.
• Let us know how you would evaluative a project idea by helping us prioritize criteria used to rank projects. What is more important to you - A low operating cost or if the project was generated as part of a public process?
All bond-related topics can be found here.
The next meeting of the 2013 Bond Task Force will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Grayhawk Country Club, 8620 E Thompson Peak Parkway. Information on the Bond Task Force and the upcoming meeting schedule can be found here.
On May 1, 2012, the Scottsdale City Council accepted the final recommendations from the Scottsdale 2012 Bond Task Force and voted to postpone a bond election until fall 2013. A new 2013 Bond Task Force was formed to examine the city's priorities and help determine the size and content of a 2013 Bond package. The 2013 Task Force will use the proposed 2012 Bond Program as a starting point in its deliberations.
