Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) is a six-week program that teaches community members basic disaster prevention and response skills such as fire suppression, disaster medical operations, search and rescue, organization and disaster psychology.

The training is hands-on, intensive, and designed to offer students decision-making and practical skills needed to safely assist families, neighbors and coworkers in the event of an emergency or disaster.

Registration is now open for Scottsdale’s summer and fall CERT courses (see dates below).  Classes will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Tom Hontz Training Facility, 911 N. Stadem Drive in Tempe, except for the final drill.
