Scottsdale’s Downtown is host to a number of events that kick off from 4 to 9 p.m. December 6, 2007 with an Enchanted Holiday evening in the historic Fifth Avenue area.  The month caps off with the Fiesta Bowl Artwalk and the return of the Craftsman Court ultimate New Year’s Eve Block Party.  For more information on Scottsdale’s Downtown, including maps, trolley routes, and a directory of businesses, visit: http://www.scottsdaledowntown.com/


Scottsdale 5th Avenue's Enchanted Holiday Evening
Celebrate the wonder of the season! This free family event features Mrs. Claus reading stories, characters from Beauty & the Beast, Winnie the Pooh, face painting, choirs and Santa. Santa and his elves will arrive by limo at 6 p.m. at the famous Bob Parks Horse Fountain located at 5th Avenue and Marshall Way Enjoy street side music, holiday food and festive holiday lights. Shops will be open late for holiday shopping!

A holiday tribute to big-band legend Stan Kenton
Boston Brass has expanded its trademark entertainment by teaming up with all-star brass players from around the globe to produce unmatched sound. The ensemble performs lively, big-band arrangements of classics like Stan Kenton's Christmas carols, Greensleeves and Motown Jingle Bells.

Fiesta Bowl Artwalk
The annual Fiesta Bowl Artwalk is held in conjunction with the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Classic. Dozens of art galleries will open their doors to host gallery show openings, artist receptions and demonstrations. Free.

Scottsdale’s New Years Eve Block Party

This year’s event will transform the Craftsman Court entertainment district into the Ultimate Block Party street scene on Monday, December 31 starting at 6 p.m. and going all the way into the New Year. The night's events will include bands performing on 2 stages, exclusive access to Acme Bar & Grill, Dos Gringos and Upper Deck, culinary creations from renowned Valley’s chefs, a midnight fireworks display and a champagne toast.

This signature Scottsdale event benefits Maricopa County United Fire Department.  Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or online at www.scottsdalesultimateblockparty.com. The presale $35 general admission fee includes access to all clubs, musical entertainment, the food court and the street scene. VIP tickets for $100 include complimentary drink tickets and cuisine, a champagne toast, musical entertainment, and access to all clubs.
