Southbound Loop 101 Freeway closure planned this weekend
The Arizona Department of Transportation plans the following project to prepare the Loop 101 Freeway for construction of high occupancy vehicle lanes:
The southbound lanes of the Loop 101 Freeway will be closed from Shea Boulevard to Chaparral Road from 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, through 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5.
There will be two detour routes:
** Southbound traffic on the Loop 101 will be detoured on to Pima Road from the 90th Street exit and directed south to Chaparral Road. From Chaparral, traffic will be directed east to the freeway.
** Traffic attempting to access the freeway from Shea Boulevard will be directed to Hayden Road, then south to Indian School Road where it will be directed east to the freeway.
