Loop 101 Freeway closure planned this weekend
The Arizona Department of Transportation plans the following project to prepare the Loop 101 Freeway for construction of high occupancy vehicle lanes:
The northbound lanes of the Loop 101 Freeway will be completely closed from Indian School Road to Shea Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29.
Traffic will be detoured on to Indian School west to Hayden Road, north on Hayden to Shea and then east to the northbound freeway entrance. Additional information on the project, including a map of the detour route, is available at: Detourmap102507 (pdf 1kb 1pg)
The southbound lanes will not be affected Oct. 26-29, but are tentatively planned to close the following weekend. Exact dates and times for that closure have not been set.
