Storm update: Pima, Happy Valley road sections to reopen later today
Rain runoff from Tuesday’s storm has required the closure of several road segments in Scottsdale. They are:
- Pima Road north of Lone Mountain Road
- Happy Valley Road at its intersection with Hayden Road
- Indian Bend Road between Hayden and Scottsdale roads at its crossing with the Indian Bend Wash
The Pima and Happy Valley sections are expected to reopen to traffic by 3 p.m. today following removal of debris and road repairs. The Indian Bend Road section will reopen when runoff waters recede.
Motorists are urged to obey all traffic signs and to be cautious while approaching low-lying road segments and unbridged wash crossings. Never cross a flooded road. Rain runoff can continue for several hours after storms have left an area.
