City staff and volunteers will be going door-to-door in the Park Scottsdale neighborhood this Saturday, Feb. 10, to provide information about Scottsdale’s Revitalization Program and talk with residents about issues and opportunities for their neighborhoods.

Following the neighborhood visits, Park Scottsdale residents are invited to a community picnic from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Agua Linda Park, 8732 E. McDonald Drive. The picnic will include a free lunch, city resource tables and opportunities for residents to talk with city staff.

“We are excited to continue our efforts in the southern area,” says Judy Register, general manager of Scottsdale’s Citizen & Neighborhood Resources Department. “We will continue to take city government to the front door steps of our residents both in March as well as next fall.”

This is the sixth door-to-door event since November 2005 where members of city staff have met with south Scottsdale residents. The last winter-spring 2007 door-to-door visit is planned for March 17.

The Park Scottsdale neighborhood includes nearly 400 homes and is generally bordered by Granite Reef and Pima roads and McDonald Drive and Rose Lane.
