It’s going to be a high-flyin’, foot-stompin’ weekend in
Scottsdale
Scottsdale welcomes November with a weekend of wings, wheels, hooves and other fun things.
Get off to a flying start … with the Scottsdale Air Fair Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5-6, at the Scottsdale Airport. Visitors will get an up-close look at the best of military, experimental, civilian and vintage aircraft and warbirds. Gates open both days at 9 a.m. You’ll be able to go inside the planes, meet the pilots and explore aviation firsthand. Get ticket details and other information by calling (480) 980-2174 or visiting www.scottsdaleairfair.com.
Horses & Horsepower … If you prefer your transportation a bit more grounded, don’t miss the first annual Polo Party – “Horses & Horsepower!” on Saturday at WestWorld. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. at the on-site Olive and Ivy Mimosa Champagne Lounge followed by a 1 p.m. polo match. Some great cars will be on display as a sneak peak to the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Car Auction. Get ticket details and more event information at www.thepoloparty.com.
La Gran Fiesta … Scottsdale’s Civic Center Mall is alive with dance, music and food this weekend as part of La Gran Fiesta: A Celebration of Latin & Hispanic Culture. This free community festival runs Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. and features performances by Arizona’s top Latin bands, activities for children and families, a mercado with handmade gifts and Latin-inspired food and drinks.
