Scottsdale seeks to fill board and commission vacancies

The City of Scottsdale is accepting applications to fill vacancies on four advisory bodies – the Environmental Quality Advisory Board, the Judicial Appointments Advisory Board, the Loss Trust Fund Board and the Transportation Commission.

The city is recruiting Scottsdale residents to fill a single three-year term on each advisory body – applications are due Sept. 23.

Applications and more information about the role of each of these advisory boards and commissions are available online at www.scottsdaleaz.gov/boards or by calling the City Clerk’s Office at (480) 312-2412. Applications may also be picked up at Scottsdale City Hall (3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd).

Updated to reflect date changes as of Oct. 5:
The City Council will select finalists from the pool of applicants on Oct. 11; appointees will be selected after those finalists are interviewed at the Nov. 1 City Council meeting.

More than 200 Scottsdale residents serve on the city’s 28 boards, commissions and committees, providing thousands of hours of volunteer service to the city each year.
