  Changes to bus schedules begin Dec. 29^th

Scottsdale bus riders will notice a change in start and end times on several Valley Metro bus routes providing service throughout the city beginning Monday, Dec. 29^th.

All Monday through Friday bus trips that start within the city of Phoenix prior to 5 a.m. and those starting after 10 p.m. will be eliminated. Saturday service on all routes also will be adjusted to match the current Sunday schedule.

The schedule changes for Scottsdale are the result of service reductions in neighboring cities. To see if your route is affected, you can check online at:

You can also find copies of the Valley Metro service change brochure at any Scottsdale library, the Granite Reef and Via Linda senior centers, Paiute Neighborhood Center and at the Loloma Transit Center.

Some routes that originate in Scottsdale but end in other cities may have additional changes in start and end times, as well as route adjustments and stops. For a complete listing of all service changes affecting Valley Metro transit routes, go to www.valleymetro.org or call (602) 253-5000.

The Scottsdale Transportation Commission also will discuss potential January changes to routes 76 (Miller Road) and 84 (Granite Reef) at its Dec. 18^th meeting, 5 p.m. in the City Hall Kiva, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd.
