Three free fashion shows highlight Nov. 6 Wearable Artwalk
2nd Annual event features one-of-a-kind works by nternationally acclaimed artists
Scottsdale’s 2nd annual Wearable ArtWalk will be held from 7 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6 at key sites throughout the Downtown Scottsdale Art District. Presented by the Scottsdale Gallery Association in conjunction with the City of Scottsdale Downtown Office, Wearable ArtWalk serves as an exciting prelude to Scottsdale’s annual Fashion Week, which is held Nov. 6-9.

The 2008 Wearable ArtWalk has tripled in size to accommodate three simultaneous outdoor fashion runways and more than 18 models at the following locations:
- Main Street Plaza entrance on south side of Main Street between Marshall Way and Goldwater Blvd.
- West side of Marshall Way just south of Fifth Ave., and
- Stetson Plaza/SouthBridge area on the south side of the Marshall Way trolley bridge.
Wearable ArtWalk is free and provides an exciting evening of unique clothing and jewelry designs as well special fashion collections/events in 28 participating galleries which are identified by a string of hanging stars in storefront windows. In addition, the 2008 Wearable Art Walk will feature a wide range of art displays in multi-media , live music on the streets, and free restaurant samples. Entertainment, sponsored in part by American Art Collector Magazine, begins at 7 p.m. and includes music by pop-rock fave Jeordie, jazz group Pop Fusion, R&B hits from the Soul Catchers, classical sounds by pianist Elijah Bossenbroek and violinist Scott Tran, guitar interpretations by Boneyard’s Carole Pellatt, and the solo singer-songwriter showcase “Soliloquies” with Nick Heward and Raymond Gomez.
Scottsdale ArtWalk is located in the Scottsdale Arts District, featuring more than 100 galleries west of Scottsdale Road along Main Street and Marshall Way up to Stetson and Sixth Avenue near the Waterfront.
