Scottsdale Design Day was created to help manage the revitalization of mature neighborhoods south of Indian Bend Road by providing professional design inspiration for owners intending to remodel their homes. The focus:

  • To encourage the use of Green Building philosophies and practices
  • To ensure that remodeled homes complement and enhance the character of existing neighborhoods while successfully accommodating today’s lifestyles
  • To ensure that those living in designated Historic Districts propose designs that embrace the objectives of Scottsdale’s Historic Preservation Department
  • To offer home remodeling design ideas that will efficiently respond to our local climate and environment
  • To promote water conservation by offering xeriscape landscaping solutions
  • To raise awareness about various city programs available to the community for home reinvestment
  • To facilitate an understanding of plan review, permitting, and related requirements by introducing homeowners to the city’s One Stop Shop.
